Rev. Clint Jones Bio


Clint Jones was appointed Minister of Missions and Evangelism at First United Methodist Church of Hurst in June 2013. Clint has served as Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church, Joshua and Pastor of Cloud’s Bend United Methodist Church in Kingsport, TN.

Clint is a graduate of Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University where he received his Master of Divinity with a certificate in Hispanic Studies in 2014. Clint was ordained as an Elder in Full Connection of the Central Texas Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church in 2016.

Clint is from Kingsport, Tennessee. He and his wife, Marilyn married in 2006, and moved to Texas in 2010.

Clint and Marilyn share a love for ministry – Marilyn is the Senior Pastor at Meadowbrook UMC in Fort Worth. Clint enjoys traveling and technology. He worked for 8 1/2 years at Crutchfield Corporation in Spanish Language Sales and International Support prior to answering his call to full time ordained ministry. He considers his gift for speaking Spanish as great tool to connect with people and to understand cultures other than his own.

Clint says, “God has been very faithful to me and my family. As I look back at my life, I see how God has equipped me for the areas of ministry that I am the most passionate about. I feel so very honored to be serving First United Methodist Church of Hurst. I also feel strongly that we have something life-giving to share when we share God’s offer of abundant life and redemption found in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.”
