First United Methodist Church of Hurst is an open community of Christian disciples seeking to live out the unconditional love of God as revealed through Jesus the Christ. We also seek to live out our faith by intentionally growing in discipleship and deepening our connection with God, people, and purpose.

It was with that mission and those goals in mind that this blog was created. Our hope is that this blog will give all who read it a glimpse into the ways our ministries are impacting the lives of individuals in our congregation, our community, and our world. At the same time, this will be a place where our contributors will share their thoughts and feelings on current events around the world and in our own backyard. We pray that the energy, commitment, love, and compassion that fills First United Methodist Church of Hurst will be felt by those who read this blog.
