Rev. Holly Dittrich Bio

Holly-Dittrich

Rev. Holly Dittrich first joined our staff in June 2002. In August 2008, she left to participate in a two-year Clinical Pastoral Education program at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, and then served as a Chaplain at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.  Holly returned to our staff in 2012.

Holly is a life-long United Methodist and grew up in the Central Texas Conference in Stephenville and Granbury. She attended Southwestern University in Georgetown and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Study and Language Development.

Holly has always been passionate about children – helping them realize (as well as the adults around them) that they are complete spiritual beings NOW – and loves engaging in wonderful theological conversations at all levels. She began her professional career as an elementary school teacher in Allen and Pflugerville ISDs before answering God’s call to professional ministry. She attended Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating in 2002.  While in Georgia, she served as the Director of Children’s Ministry at W.R. Cannon United Methodist Church in Snellville.

Holly was ordained Deacon in Full Connection in 2005, and then made the transition to Elder in 2012 after realizing God’s evolving call upon her life and ministry. She continues to love ministry with children, but sees that as but a part of the whole of ministry in the life of the congregation.

Holly and her husband Rob were married in 2007 and welcomed their son, Christopher, in 2014, who is an amazing source of joy! During what free time they have, they enjoy being outdoors, hiking, camping, and reading.
